Monitoring newsletter template
A seven-section structure that fits on one screen and requires citing every piece of data.
ExampleThis is a sample template: adapt the sections to your channel.
The seven sections
Header
Channel name, the period it covers and the date it is sent.
The essentials in three points
Three sentences, each with its source. If the reader reads only this, they already know what changed.
Regulation
Published rules, open consultations and deadlines. Always state the due date.
Calls for bids and opportunities
Open calls, with the issuing body and the closing date for offers.
Science and technology
Publications and advances, with one line on why they matter to the channel.
Market and players
Moves by competitors, suppliers and customers.
Sources in this issue
The numbered list of everything cited. Without this section, the newsletter cannot be verified.
Rules of use
- Every statement carries the number of its source.
- If a section has no news, say so in one line instead of filling it.
- A person reads the full newsletter before sending it.
- Keep the same structure in every issue: readers learn where to look.
